Location

The house has no number (designated snc in Italian) and is situated at the end of small road called Via Filoxenia which turns into a dirt track for a short distance at the end before our house.

 

This road is not signposted as such but will appear on your map app - Via Filoxenia. There is a fenced-in dog area at the bottom of the steep cemented road going up to it. First gear is recommended with a bit of a run up.

 

Because our lovely rich neighbour (he’s actually perfectly pleasant) paved the road from just beyond our house to his in stone, it is de facto a dead end. You may park your car anywhere before the stone paving starts.

 

The house is split into two apartments. The upper one is accessible by descending the steps on the right of the house.

Kitchen Gas

 

The stove is powered by a gas cylinder directly underneath it accessible with the white door. Turn this on by turning the top of the cylinder in an anti-clockwise direction. Not too far…..

 

Turn it off again when you leave please.

Central Heating/Cooling

 

Is with wall-mounted heat pumps. The controls are on the wall immediately inside each room. The on off is hopefully self-explanatory and you can easily adjust the desired temperature with the up or down controls. We heartily recommend that you do not touch the other controls.

 

Water 

 

This is turned on and off by the water tank along the pathway leading to the house. Upon leaving be sure to turn all the tap handles to the off position. This includes the mains water tap in a small housing just by the car park please. There are three handles in all to be turned to the off position which is when the handles are at ninety degrees (sticking out) to the pipes.
